The Home screen presents the option of creating a new test or opening a test that you have previously saved. If Make a New Test is chosen, the different test categories will be presented to choose from. If Open a Saved Test is chosen, the computer's regular "Open" dialogue box will appear. Navigate to the saved test that you would like to open.Click on the question mark from any screen in the application for help.

Make a New Test
From this screen, Language Tests, Skills Tests, and Regional Tests are available. Each category of tests has subcategories to choose from. Once a test type has been chosen, click on the Make Test button.The Home and Help buttons are available on the Make a New Test screen, and from any other screen in the application.
Once the Make Test is selected, all of the options for making a test become available.

Make Test
Use the Make Test screen to create a test:First, select the topics to be chosen. In the Grammar and Vocabulary Tests, there is no limit to the number of topics which can be selected. In the Skills Tests and Regional Tests, you can select just one topic at a time.
Next, choose the level of difficulty and the number of questions per topic. Please note that this functionality is not available in the Regional tests as the format of the tests is pre-set according to regional requirements.
Finally, click ‘Preview’ to preview your test.

Open a Saved Test
From the main screen, click on the Open a Saved Test button.
Once selected, the computer's regular "Open" dialogue box will appear. Navigate to the saved test that you would like to open.

Preview Screens
Once the Preview button or Preview Test tab has been selected, there are several options to preview.- Test - From this screen the full test can be previewed as it will be printed.
- Answer Key - This screen shows the correct and suggested answers to the test questions selected.
- Audio - If a Listening Test has been created, the audio can be played from this screen. You can navigate to other Preview screens and the audio will continue to play.
- Tapescript - If a Listening Test has been created, the Tapescript will be displayed.

Edit a Test
The Edit Test screen allows each selected question and answer to be edited. Questions and answers can be changed, added, deleted and formatted. By opening the Phonetics Keypad you can write questions using phonetic symbols.

Printing
Once the Print button is selected, a new window will open. Depending on the type of test created, the option to print the Test, Answer Key, Reading, or Tapescript will be available.
